How to Make a Brain?

How is a brain made? Brains are really complicated. Like we think of how a heart is made. There's patterning signals as the fertilized egg develops. As it divides and you get more and more cells, they start to become different from each other. Some genes are active and some are not. And within the whole embryo, all of those cell differentiation processes have to be spatially coordinated and temporally coordinated.
