CHAPTER

The Value of Dramatization in Non-Fiction Projects

BBC Northern Ireland did something similar in another series with the voices of people who were victimized in the great Northern bank jobs. Back in the day Thatcher outlawed using the actual voices of IRA members on the air. So broadcasters got around it by having staffers or actors or whoever say the words instead. I'm just very curious about how much we can expand the range of what we consider like acceptable trustworthy sources of non-fiction information. There are so many stories of marginalized people that weren't recorded at the time you know to focus on the community that I'm most familiar with.
