LZ Granderson: I'd love to hear you talk about leisure time and your perspective on it right now. LZ: The idea that, you know, the time that you spend not working for some future purpose is the most real and the most valuable time has been radically lost in our society. He says we use the word 'wasting' as a way of describing what happens when people don't plan their lives properly. But he argues there's never any meaning in accomplishing a goal or failing to accomplish a goal while you're taking a rest. In other words, "Wasted Time" can only be understood if one looks at life from this vantage point rather than looking back
