The Importance of the Priesthood Restoration
In 1833, the church collected all of the revelations that Joseph Smith had claimed to have up until that point. And they put it together in a book that is known as the Book of Commandments. In 1835, Joseph Smith undertakes us again and creates a book called the Doctrine and Covenants. There's only a few hundred copies of these that are bound together. Most of the church membership would not have it. I believe at this point they were well into the thousands.
