We Can't Abandon the System That We've Come Up for Knowledge
We need to reform the institutions. We can't abandon them, we don't have anything else. There is no better alternative than decentralized replication of studies and labs around the world. You cannot get it by fiat right now - you have to earn it with trust. The mob is a powerful check on epistemic authority. When you abuse it, then that whole institution is going to suffer and come down. And as soon as you build epostemic authority into real power... It's capture will be used against plebs like bitcoin.
