The History of Keynes's Theory of Capitalism

In the 1930s Keynes was chairman of the board of the left wing magazine, the new statesman and nation. The Soviet Union seemed from the perspective of many on the far left to be leading the world into a bright socialist future. In 1936 Keynes noted that his ideas would likely meet more receptivity in authoritarian nations than in liberal U.S.
