Your Dictionary Is Your Words

The lexicon is 95% of the language. Everything else is 5%. And my next point is the inflammatory statement for this month is your dictionary is your conlang. So that's how I feel like making the statement and sort of agreeing with David's statement.95% of your language is your words. That means a vast amount of how your words are used is determined by the word not some abstract conception of grammar as usually understood in any case, especially not if you've been exposed to generative grammar stuff.
