The June 1st Debt Ceiling Deal

The debt ceiling was actually hit on January 19th. The real issue here is that Washington can no longer function and we limp along trying to get deals done from one crisis to the next, always waiting for the absolute last minute. This is no way to run a government. We need to resolve this without any more drama and move on to continuing to look at the big underlying fiscal threats that are facing the country.
