What Makes a Brahmin?
The first conversation the Buddha had after his enlightenment was one where he challenged society's norms. He completely dismissed the Brahminical system, this theory that was coming in about society being divided into separate castes by birth. And later on after that meeting the Buddha had a lot to do with kings, particularly Bhimasara and his son Ajata Sartu. The contrast of the Buddha's spiritual power with the king's worldly power is very interesting.
