The victim's blood type was easily extracted from the cut on her head. She was type B. Most expected the second a separate drop of blood would also come back as the victim's type B, but it didn't. It came back type A. As well as being type A, it also came back as a non-secreeder. Detectives felt confident that if a suspect arose and they had the appropriate court order, they could now check the suspect's blood type and secrete a status.
