Is There a Racial Bias in Traffic Stops?
There was no obvious systematic bias on the origination side. I mean, they weren't literally equal, but in terms of the noise and the data and whatever, they were pretty close. So yes, if you just asked and you could derive statistics that sound bad saying things like, Oh, if you're driving while black, you're three times more likely to be pulled over and have your car searched than if you're white. And then even controlling for if you're a male who's in your twenties, still,. if you're black, you know, you probably even higher.
