Do You Have a Radio Playing in the Background?
Focus our attention on here and now activities that are important and meaningful, guided by our values. And just kind of let our mind play on like a radio in the background. If it happens to be broadcasting something useful and helpful, then that's used. But if not, just let it play on in the background - this is very different to trying to ignore a radio. The more you try to ignore it or not hear it, the more it bothers you.
