The Importance of Reading
I used to steal books because I couldn't bear giving them back, she says. She also had to hide them because obviously they weren't mine. But the root of it was a compulsion to be able to show what I had read and to look at it. And so for the first time in my life, I'm like, they're all together, me and my books. That's why it's such a just such a happy thing for me. So there's books I thought that has been years in the making Yes.
