I'm Not Being Considered - Is That a Common Narrative?

A lot of times we don't feel secure in who we are. A common one is I'm an imposter. Maybe you were shamed in childhood for showing certain aspects of your emotions or of your curiosity by just being you. When we have big reactions, when we find ourselves going back to those old habitual ruts, chances are it's because there is a similarity.

one narrative that people can be running is this I'm not being considered. Give us some examples of some other common narratives that are out there in the world so that people can see like, huh, try that on fit. Does that match sort of some of the narratives that you might be using? Are there some other examples of those that are out there? Yeah, I think another really common one is I'm an

imposter. I'm not who I say I am. A lot of that interesting goes back to, right? Am I living based on these habits? How I think I have to be be validated to show up in my relationships? Or am I showing up as my authentic self? I think in terms of business and achievement and we're going into kind of actualizing a lot of times we don't feel secure in who we are. We feel like an imposter. We feel like we're going to be found out for all the flaws that we have below the surface. I think that's another really, really common one. And the people are going to leave us or the die home list or whatever. Yeah, some version of that. And typically that is where the beliefs go to. If I show who I truly am, if I show all of me, even these darker spots, parts of my person or my experience or whatever it might be, I think that is where the road leads to this underlying belief. And maybe at a time and a place, those parts weren't acceptable. Maybe you were shamed in childhood for showing certain aspects of your emotions or of your curiosity or of your just self-expression by just being you. So again, this goes back to what you were describing, where we were kind of acknowledging earlier the similarity, right? When we have big reactions, when we find ourselves going back to those old habitual ruts, chances are it's because there is a similarity and it might even just be in how we're narrating what's happening but to those older times. And then it makes sense why we react the way that we do. So the person who does is hiding aspects of ourself in fear of being found out might be evidence that at some time and at some place that part of you actually wasn't welcomed or there was a threat to showing that that you did live the experience of.
