Is There a Highway Illusion?

Drivers take longer to look for bikes when driving at high speeds. White stripes on highways can be up to 36 feet long, depending on the speed of the road. Pigeons see three times faster than humans do because they use 75 frames a second in order to watch a film. Drivers cheat by making roads as simple as possible with enormous signs and white markings that trick us into thinking we're not moving as fast as we are.
