Napoleon and the Third Coalition

Napoleon pushed into germany with lightning speed, trapping an austrian army at the fortified city of olm and forcing it to surrender. The campaign was going very well but every step forward weakened the grand arme. On october 20, fourth napoleon entered munich, the capital of bavaria, which had recently been retaken by french troops after a brief austrian occupation. To most bavarians, napoleon was seen as a liberator.
