Why Boys Start School Year Later
I think there's this sense of just we use these very crude proxies like chronological age and it'd be much better if we could individualize it, give more flexibility. And that would mean I think a lot more boys starting school later. The US education system has become a root march from kindergarten to post-grad If you get that far. We need to make sure that the alternatives are ones that we would take seriously for our own kids. Right now, there's still a premium on college education in the labor market,. But they're really high quality vocational tracks without having to go down the four year path.
