apothatic theology is the belief that there's something rather than nothing at all about god. The church i'm a member of aches something called the doctrine of divine simplicity, which will come on to an very soon. There are strong faith type reasons for believing it and weaker reason such as rationalism. We're complex in all sorts of ways because we have distinct existences that come together. That might not seem like headline news, because god doesn't have material parts.
