I think consciousness is like a modeling insight. You have a powerful enough model of understanding the world that you actually understand that you are an entity in it. But there's also this, perhaps just a narrative we tell ourselves. It feels like something to experience the world, the hard problem of consciousness. Yeah, I think it will emerge. We'll be talking to these digital AI's. They will claim their conscious. The deep question with AI is also what is life and what is conscious. And I think that'll be very fascinating to bring up.
