Hagel says we could treat sceptical doubts as adventitious and arbitrary. He doesn't want e jut say, here's the answer. These the guys are wrong. Instead, he says, we should treat the inquiry itself an philosophical history. In any case, science must liberate itself from this semblance. And it can do so only by turning against it, which we're going to find out what all that means. What is the last it there? It can only do so by turning against by the previous theory.
