Isn't It Cool if All Dwarves Have Beards?
Tolkien did not discuss female dwarves when listening to the characters imagined. All dwarves are described as having beards, including women. I think it's because they wanna make it easier for martial audiences to understand. It would have been cool if the women dwarves had beards, but like, it doesn't matter. The more canonical thing would be to have the women have beards.
