Are you at all worried that somehow the database or whatever you wanna call it will somehow, you'll be cut off from it because things have changed or a company goes out of business? I know it's a very pedestrian question, but I'm kinda curious about that. And are you reasonably confident that the tools that you're using within your version of PKM that they will continue to be supported and functional? That is an excellent question. There is no way to positively know. But in going back to what I said with the Lindy effect, the time something will be out is directly or proportional to how long it's already been out.

We talked about my dad's experience researching for his thesis and books as an undergraduate without modern-day notetaking tools, what makes researchers interested in their research, the conflict with freer form notetaking and publishing, and how to make your notes accessible to the general public as an academic.
