The CCG 1961 Trial and the COGAALL0232 Protocol
The CCG 1961 trial found that augmented consolidation was important for even the early responders. But we don't need two delayed intensifications and two interim maintenance. We only need one of each. And so fast forward to today's day and age where Bernie and I have been using this protocol. This is the COGAALL0232 protocol. The purpose of 0232 was to try to figure out a way to prevent central nervous system relapses. So we 0232 added two modifications to hopefully help with CNS relapse. Now we're using dexamethasone in induction, primarily for patients less than 10 years of age because there is more osteonacrosis in infections for patients above the age
