On the domestic front, there was a children's organization called the pioniri m or pioneers. He formed strong connections with leaders of nations who were also struggling against colonialism in the global south. By and large, the people were immensely proud of their leader and what they had accomplished with him. A common slogan was, tito is ours and we are titos.
