The Future of Education

In 1989, the National Council of Teachers and Mathematics said 50% of mathematics has been invented since World War II. And it's not just that we have new forms of mathematical knowledge that one might be able to explore at the post graduate level but there's no reason why year three's can't be playing with number theory, or cellular, or chaos or fractals. Kids who haven't been all that excited about the traditional educational diet can fall in love with wondering about something and looking at patterns.
