The Evolution of the Nobel Prize
With some exceptions, the Prizes have been more and less interesting in recent years. I think there was long kind of a belief that it can't really be a pure theoretical prize. And for a while, it was like everybody who invented a kind of potable detector eventually won an Nobel Prize. But now we're often the names of the people and not as widely known as the instruments they've created.
