The Transition From McKinsey to the SME

Paul: Transition from McKinsey to the SME is very interesting because when you work as a consultant or in private equity, it's all about soft-sticking. So this shift for me was very interesting from working alone and really doing content, having to lead people. The first problem I knew I was going to face was the issue with my father. It's not convincing the old founder what's right and what's strong. It's more about what they're comfortable with and their own style. And at the end of the day, leadership is very much a style based thing. So there's no really good and bad. You can have two very different styles and both work fine.
