The Onus Behind Splitting Repositories
The official 1.0 release of homebrew was released on Monday and it's a big step forward for the project. The package manager is now separate from the source code which means that you don't have to go through the entire history of the source code. There are also some new community features including an analytics tool where users can see what commands they're running as well as how their packages are being used by each other.
