How to Choose the Right Planets for Space Telescopes

We have to understand that being habitable, meaning being amenable for life, having the kind of environment. That's how most of us define a habitable planet warm enough for liquid water. So we've really only scratched the surface and yet still that's an awful lot of planets that we have to choose from. And so our team really starts from the question, how do we choose from the over 5000 planets that we know of so far,. which ones to follow up on with the next generation of space telescopes?
