Jeff Pearlman: Batter's brain processes information very, very quickly. He says batters are comparing it to pitches that they've seen before and using that to make their decision about what that pitch is going to do. "You could probably put Alan in a batting cage right now and tell these guys you want to try and hit a launch angle," he adds.
