i think i come from a religious community that is, that particularly emphasizes this. And interestingly enough, the agacon, in any of his speeches, either to the public or within the religious community, you're just knocking a fine critique. The most important thing about human life is that god has given it to us and that god has graced us. Being grateful does not mean being complaisant. It means know that you operate from a position of grace,. From a position of having the breath of god,  his steward and representative.
