I think we talked about this in the context of relationships, where it's like, Oh, that's going to override the fact that they treat me poorly or whatever. I think that this can show up in spiritual communities too and lead to a lot of snarky, passive, aggressive comments. Did you make the decision knowingly? I really don't know. There's more in the suit than that for me. It sounds like it's a coping mechanism that's potentially happening without you knowing.
