"Money as it is has a particular quality, but it could also become a different form of exchange," she says. "I wouldn't want to impose alternative currencies... I'd want people to understand enough about what money does so that they say, oh, we want a different money system." The work for me is about how people have enough information and power to make those decisions. Democracy is not just putting your ideas in a box; it's taking each other through the process of coming up with an idea which everyone can agree on.
