In 20 15, i didn't account for sunk cost bias. We planned a conference in 20 14 that was a mass of success. It was a complete flop in 20 15. And you know what? That was the ultimate blessing in disguise. Even had coved not started right, it's likely better to take that two thousand dollar loss than keep pouring more energy and time into it. The same thing happens to us psychologically, where we can see something spiralling downward and downward, but emotionally, we don't wrestle with it as a loss until we close it out.
