Paxos Raft
The best performing number of servers for a consensus algorithm is one. If you add more and more servers, the performance gets much worse. The mentality of Paxos Raft and all the consensus algorithms is never compromise on consistency. So I think Paxos is really good when consistency is very, very critical to your application.
