Wages Are Growing Faster Now Than Before the Election

We are assuming that electricity prices will go up by 20% this year and then another 30% next year. So, this is really the government saying you need to trust us. They're focused very much on the things they promised before the election. Cheaper childcare is a game-changing investment in families,. It will increase the paid hours worked by women with young children by up to 1.4 million hours a week in the first year alone. That's the equivalent of 37,000 extra full-time workers. Paid parental leave, similarly, being able to split the leave allowance between two partners so that the caring can be shared. And it enables both people to maintain their working lives.
