The Problem With Aquinas' Theology of Resurrection
Aquinas explicitly denies that the essence of a material substance is its form. He says it's two different types of metallurgical divisions of the same material substance into its principles. So these forms are material for Aquinas, not because they are the structure or configuration of matter in any sense whatsoever. The act of being is one and the same act that is had by the composite as well as by its matter.
