I do not want this framework to be seen as a rationale for standardizing everything, which is often not great for innovation. You don't always want to produce more of the same standardized thing cheaply at scale because that can also act as a roadblock for innovation in other ways. In India, I can give you the example of battery swapping. Because batteries have a high upfront cost, often a way to promote a technology is at least for batteries or electric mobility in India is to have battery swapping so that you don't pay for the entire battery upfront and you don't even own it.
