The Impact of the Flood on the Environment

A lot of the attention has been on Fitzroy Crossing and rightfully so because it's where the biggest population of Aboriginal people but as I said this catchment is almost 100,000 square kilometers. A team of guys who paddle down the Fitzroy River every two years in full flood did that just after the flood there. The Badlands which was a canopy of 500 meters of spider webs with spiders bigger than your hand have totally been wiped out since the flood. It made me realize because I spend a lot of time on the river because that's where my mother come from.
