Williams came out of a graduate school not even thinking that he was going to be a researcher. He had no idea what impact it was wanteng to have. Now i think it's a mistaket, in looking back on it, to say i wanted being a researcher. I don't like that as an identity, because it focuses on what kind of person do i want to be? And so you do the research because your role demands,. rather than because that's whatyour role is. We're going to dive a lot in into your specific work. But i want to get inside your head just a little bit more. There must be things that you do pretty consistently,
