The White House's Position on the Debt Ceiling Is Unreasonably Ridiculous

Speaker McCarthy told Republicans that he's, quote, nowhere near a deal with President Biden. Sources say White House negotiators and Republican negotiators are tens of billions of dollars apart when it comes to the top-line spending number or how much to spend in the future. Some members of the House Freedom Caucus do have doubts about that June 1st deadline that Treasury Secretary Yellen has said is indeed the deadline.
