Jesus was getting at a different type of subversion because you need to ask in that question. How are you advocating for the kingdom of God by saying I'm not going to do something that I'm governing authorities told me to do? Are you spreading the witness of Jesus through that? Or are you not? For example, if we were to go to the civil rights movement, that is more of an example of advocating for what is true about humanity. And you're actually going for the flourishing of all humanity. You're subverting the empire. That actually is advocating for, I think, a Christian ideal. So that's different, if that makes sense.
