Second kings 17 is about what happens to the israelites that are left in the northern kingdom, because not all of them were exiled. You see those lost tribes hit off. There's a term here that it introduces for the first time, samaritans. Samaritans meaning the descendants of the people whose country used to have the a samaria,. The northern kingdom fell. And we know they don't like each other. That's why jesus tells the parable of the good samaritan. It was great to hear that emphasis on gathering again at least one major stage of second kings 17.
How is 2 Kings like the Book of Mormon? Dr. Joshua Sears explores how the Deuteronomistic History and the Book of Mormon are parallel in theme, language, and idea. We also discuss how the Ten Tribes became lost by forgetting they are covenant Israel.
