AI Alignment - I'm Fine. Come and Fix This AI

I feel like the current discourse around AI alignment has become so, what's the word? Like stuffy and trying to get everybody to take you seriously. I don't necessarily even want people to believe that we need to make a loving God AI. And honestly, if saying the God thing would turn them off to it, then I mean, they're going to hear about it eventually. You know, once somebody can accidentally build a super dangerous super intelligence using their home PC level hardware, then it's like we really, really need to have actually solved this problem. That's a game I'm fine. Nothing allowed to play anymore. But that was a shitty game anyway. Come and fix
