The Importance of Learning Hawaiian

Navajee is the only school that takes a child from nine months old through high school graduation entirely in Hawaiian. Mom, Pele Harmon and Dad, Kekoa Harmon have dedicated their lives to fortifying their culture. Kalamana Manna is the first of her family in two generations to grow up speaking Hawaiian as her first language. Both daughter and mother have beautiful white flowers in their dark hair.
