The Dismounted IED Story in Afghanistan
The key to the dismounted IED story in Afghanistan is identifying that we thought the problem were vehicle-centric IEDs. The students are one thing, but actually mentoring and advising those students through the process or warning what it's like to be an entrepreneur has been amazing for everybody who's ever touched it. We didn't talk about hacking for defense, but the common mission project was this nonprofit which allows students to take on real emerging problems.
