He was unabashedly interested in crime and criminals. He read a lot of history about cereal killers, and i think he felt that his skills were really well suited to that area. And he didn't scare easy. I can recall a couple of specific instances where he showed me a photograph and he said, if you see this person anywhere near you, you are to call the police.
