Twitter has had a profound effect on our democracy and it's not obvious to me that social media was necessarily going to have as detrimental effect. I don't think the American people are going to take it anymore. The reason is not the same kind of environmental toxins that we faced in prior generations, the kind of toxins that have affected our children's mental health.
