"I feel like leading up to that moment, things were happening. My friends and I, my husband and I, we were all very open about feeling a lot of dissonance," she says. "We had inherited this friendship from being so young and had kind of struggled to bring that into an, into adulthood in a lot of ways" Her friend left the church after hearing her tell him he needed to leave because it was bad for his mental health.
