Astro is written for the server, so it can do things that other front end frameworks like react and felt can't. You basically write in your component you can go and fetch something from remote source from the database. The template function really is where the server logic goes and everything below that is a single script called Astro. Do you actually call that a front area of a file even if it's not marked down in the docs? Yeah. We used to call it just for familiarity but I feel like people are now more comfortable with using TypeScript as well.
